About.

FROM SAMPLING TO SYNTHESIS.
FROM VINYL TO DIGITAL.

Rodrigo Frangioni | DJ | Producer | Sound Designer
Pro Music Graduate – Berklee College of Music – Boston

DJ Rod first started when he enrolled in a Turntable Techniques class at Berklee College of Music, and was assigned to work in the DJ lab at Berklee that same semester. Most of the time the lab was empty, so he used that time to listen to the collection of vinyl available in the room, always trying to blend the records so it sounded consistent. The more he practiced, the more he got interested in turntablism and crate-digging, and eventually it became a prominent part of his life. DJ Rod has an eclectic collection of music he uses, always trying to play songs from different styles together to create something unique. Mixing Brazilian rhythms with hip-hop and funk being one of his most common choices, but also experimenting with electronic music, afrobeats, rock, and R&B/soul. You can find his latest mix, ÁÍ, in MixCloud.

TrublChuter (pronounced “truh·buhl·shoo·tr”) searches for the unheard sounds of the universe. Collecting and creating noises unrecognizable to the human ear, he provides you with sound packs and synth presets ranging from lo-fi hip hop to experimental electronic sound design. One of the many skills he’s gained from roaming the galaxies is being able to piece musical puzzles together that are already scattered around the world.

After landing in a small town in Brazil, Trublchuter was spotted by three girls and made it to the news, dubbed the “E.T. de Varginha”. With the Brazilian military after him, he hid for years in the big city learning about the sonic qualities of this planet.
